    Be A Part Of The Search For Cure

    CR&T is a careful steward of your donation.  On average, 80 cents of every dollar we spend every year goes to research and educational programs.  That means that the lion’s share of your contribution is invested in prolonging and improving patients’ lives.     CR&T-funded researchers are working hard to find new treatments and cures for cancer.  There are many ways that you can help us to keep up the momentum.

    Make a General Donation

    With your support, we can continue to build the world’s leading center dedicated to myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) research and patient care, fund other cutting-edge research initiatives, and educate patients and their loved ones about the latest treatments and research advances.

    Memorial and Tribute Donations

    Commemorate a milestone or special occasion, or honor the memory of a friend, loved one or colleague with a gift that will have a lasting impact on the lives of patients and families.

    Attend an Inspiring Event

    Our annual Cancer Survivors Hall of Fame dinner is our signature fundraising event.  This elegant evening brings together courageous cancer survivors and the passionate doctors, researchers and advocates who have contributed to our search for life-saving treatments and cures for cancer. You can purchase a single ticket or fill your own table with friends and colleagues.  Visit our Events section for information about this and other fundraising events.     Make a Gift of Securities

    Your gift of appreciated securities – stocks, bonds, or mutual funds – can provide significant tax savings while helping to support CR&T’s search for cures.  We can receive stock gifts directly through your brokerage account; you receive a charitable income tax deduction, usually equivalent to fair market value as determined under IRS guidelines.  We will sell the stock immediately and apply the net proceeds toward our mission.  Contact Chad Feay at cfeay@crt.org, or 212-288-6604 to find out how to donate securities.

    Create a Legacy

    When you include CR&T in your estate plans, you create a lasting legacy that helps us build a cancer-free future.  It also may have important financial advantages for you and your heirs.

    • Include a bequest to CR&T in your will. Make a gift of a stated dollar amount, specific property, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after distributions to other beneficiaries.  In doing so, you leave a legacy to CR&T, yet preserve and enjoy assets you might need during your lifetime.  Plus, the assets distributed to CR&T are exempt from estate tax.
    • Designate CR&T as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, retirement plan, savings account, or brokerage account. You can designate CR&T as the primary or secondary beneficiary of either 100% or some percentage of the proceeds from your life insurance policy or retirement plan.

    Participate in Your Workplace Giving Program

    Many companies offer various giving programs that allow you to deduct the amount you specify from your paycheck.

    Make a Matching Gift

    Be sure to ask if your employer also offers matching gifts, which will increase the value of your donation.  Specify CR&T as your matching gifts recipient.
